Chicago’s Temerity Strategic Partners and L.A.’s GPI Companies Partner to Expand Multifamily Investment in California
New partnership will target approximately $750 million in multifamily acquisitions and redevelopment
Excerpts from GPI Press Release: CHICAGO and LOS ANGELES, January 13, 2026 — Temerity Strategic Partners (TSP), a Chicago-based real estate private equity firm that provides growth capital to leading operators, and GPI Companies (GPI), a Los Angeles-based real estate investment and development firm, today announced a commitment of capital to expand GPI’s multifamily platform across California. The partnership will have capacity to pursue approximately $750 million of total multifamily acquisitions.
The partnership will fund the acquisition, redevelopment, and repositioning of multifamily assets in high-barrier, supply-constrained California markets, with a focus on meaningfully enhancing unit quality and resident experience and, where appropriate, adding density in undersupplied submarkets.
